For the Nautic 2021, the Le Meur watchmaking company is using its talent to create a special "Fanale Marine" watch.

This meeting between two worlds - the sea and time - sounds like a professional crush. The two company directors met by chance: " I was travelling and to pass the time at the hotel, I was looking at the net ", explains Pierre-André Paoli, builder of Fanale Marine boats. " I came across an article about Jean-Dominique Le Meur. His approach, so similar to mine, although in a very different sector, made me want to contact him.

Back in Corsica, the semi-rigid boat manufacturer Fanale Marine called the young watchmaker to make an appointment.

Pierre-André says: " We met in the restaurant. I came out of the workshop in my work clothes. I think that Jean-Dominique understood that, like him, I was not a company director who was far removed from the reality of the field .

There is a good rapport between the two men.

Jean-Dominique explains to Pierre-André his childhood passion for the mechanisms of luxury watches, why and how at the age of seventeen he left the island to train in Switzerland and then in Besançon.

The first confinement forces him to return to Solenzara. For many, time stands still. For Jean-Dominique Le Meur, it was the beginning of a beautiful adventure.

" I decided to use the confinement to create a watch that I had had in mind for a long time. The Le Meur luxury watch," he explains.

In his student room, he conceived, designed and produced his first models which quickly found buyers. Since then, the young man has invested all the income from his business to launch the first Corsican luxury watch brand: Le Meur watches.

Creating and developing new know-how in Corsica is what brought these two entrepreneurs together.

At the end of the meal, a new project links the two business leaders: the special edition of "Fanale Marine".

With its black dial and mirror-polished stainless steel case, the elegant, modern and refined watch can be admired at the NAUTIC in Paris from 3 to 12 December on stand G71, Fanale Marine.

This beautiful creation, a meeting of Fanale Marine and Le Meur watchmaking, is nothing less than an invitation to take the time to set sail.
